Paula became the President and CEO of Hospice by the Sea, Inc., in February of 2006.  She has an extensive background in healthcare where her accountabilities included leadership, overall administration, operations, direction, development, and fiscal management.  Paula is an outstanding communicator and team builder where her background as a corporate business leader, clinical practitioner, university academician and corporate healthcare consultant brings a unique depth and breath of expertise to her work. Among her prior leadership positions were as President of a Fortune 500 New York HMO and Chief Operating Officer of a Complementary Healthcare Company.  Paula began her professional career as a nurse, having earned a BSN degree from Marquette University.  She attended the University of Toledo where the implementation of her thesis for a Master of Education degree led to the development of an innovative academic program for the advancement of nurses at the Medical College of Ohio.  She has been awarded several local and national leadership awards. In addition to her Board position with the American Association of Caregiving Youth, Paula is an active member of several other organizations including Keiser University Advisory Committee for the PA graduate program.
