Isabel (Izzy) Parrado, M. Ed is a professional counselor with The School District of Palm Beach County. She earned her BA degree from the University of Florida and her Master of Education in School Counseling Education from Florida Atlantic University.  She has been an educator and school counselor in Palm Beach County since 1977.  Professionally Izzy is the Treasurer of the Palm Beach School Counselors Association and is a member of the Florida School Counselors Association as well as a former Board member of the Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches.  While attending a meeting and soon after the inception of the Caregiving Youth Project and hearing its focus, Izzy asked, "What would it take for the CYP to be in my school?"  The CYP is now in its fourth year at Okeeheelee Middle School where Izzy says, "It is a safety net that saves at risk students."
