Workshop Description
Hidden Heroes: Caregiving Youth
Children who care for family members who are chronically ill become isolated, assume roles and manage emotions beyond their developmental stage. This workshop discusses the effects of caregiving by youth in school and in their lives as well as introduces meaningful interventions for this hidden population to achieve success.
Participants will identify and respond to the needs of this hidden population so they will increase their knowledge of the effects of family caregiving and intervene appropriately.

The entire event takes place Thursday, May 31 & Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Convention Center. Connie's workshop takes is from 10:30 to 11:30 on June 1.
